Fringers! We have some exciting news! 

The Amsterdam Fringe Festival is celebrating its 20th edition, and we’re doing it in style!  

On Sunday 14 September, in honor of this anniversary, we will be presenting the Gala from the Nederlands Theater Festival. Traditionally, this is the evening on which the most important theater awards in the Netherlands are presented.  

Twenty editions ago, we started small, in the toilets of ITA. Since then, we have grown into a leading platform for innovative, experimental, and underrepresented voices in theater. Many of them later found their way into the wider theater circuit and even stood in the spotlight at this very gala!  

The Gala is more than just an award ceremony, it a show. This year, the show is directed by Igor Alvarez Cugat, Fringe Alum and winner of the Fringe At Best Award, with dramaturgical guidance by Gido Broers, member of the Fringe team. 

Please note that the Gala is an invite-only event, with the audience filled with creators and other key figures from the theater world.
