Voorafgaand aan Kenki Krin Krin ben je vanaf 19u van harte welkom bij de gratis kick-off van What You See Festival 2026!
What You See Festival is een kunstenfestival over gender en identiteit dat uitnodigt om samen te komen, anderen te ontmoeten en je eigen aannames en vooroordelen onder de loep te nemen. Theater Kikker is al sinds de eerste editie in 2018 het kloppende hart van dit festival, dat jaarlijks in november plaatsvindt.
Tijdens deze feestelijke aftrap onthullen we het festivalprogramma en nemen we je mee in het thema van deze editie: If not now, when?! Verwacht een inspirerende spoken word-performance van Sunni Lamin Barrow, een eerste blik op het programma, persoonlijke festivaltips en natuurlijk een feestelijk proostmoment.

Over Sunni Lamin Barrow
Sunni Lamin Barrow (1998) is a poet, theatre maker, critical practitioner, and literary curator. Their work engages performance, writing, and public dialogue, with a focus on the residues of migratory memory, the positioning of language in relation to power, and the collective imagination of a future amid the precarious conditions of a world that seems to be on fire.
On this evening of October 3rd, Sunni will offer a poetic reflection on what it means to Queering Time and Queering the Future. The reflection will further stretch how queer ways of living and remembering disrupt linear ideas of belonging and futurity. It will consider time as something shaped by intimacy, rupture, ancestry, and possibility, and ask what kinds of futures become possible when we move beyond inherited timelines and fixed expectations.
